Unless the pace of global warming slows or stops, polar bears could disappear within a century, says a University of Alberta expert in Arctic ecosystems. The world's largest terrestrial carnivores, polar bears rely on sea ice to survive, using it to pass between forest dens and hunting grounds where they prey on seals. There are about 15,000 polar bears in northern Canada, accounting for about two-thirds of the world's total population. Derocher shared his views Jan. 6 at a symposium on Arctic biology in Toronto. It was the biggest gathering of Canadian Arctic biologists in more than a decade, says co-chair Dr. David Hik, also of the U of A. Many of the talks addressed the impact of climate change on northern ecosystems.

I wanted to give a definition for this topic. So many people are confused or led in the wrong direction when it comes to the fact of global warming. The majority of people thinking that it is to big of an ordeal to solve in our life time. The polar bears are just one small weight on the triple beam that could decide the planet Earth to its fate. The polar bears are drowning the ice is melting. Animal life forms are going extinct in the north at such a high rate. Hard to imagine that in such a rural and rough climate that there are more species of animals there flourishing through the terrain then what surrounds us here in the metroplex.

Movie

A movie that I have recently seen would be "Lion King". The setting at the beginning of the movie is very pleasant and innocent. Compared and contrast you can simulate out live's with the life of the main character Simba. A moral shown and taught in this movie would be that anyone can turn their back on you and give you to the wolves. Friends, and family; the climax of the movie plot would be where Simba's uncle Scar kills Simba's father. To gain power and control; I see alot of the same things in reality, but obviously on different levels. People use materials, time, and other people to get the things they want. When Simba runs along and is out by himself; this shows a strong value in survival, for eating bugs and other things is what keeps him alive with a full stomach. If it were up to me, I would have to clearly say that a teacher should be able to show this movie in their classroom for lessons or for straight entertainment. It has very good lesson and is strong in accountability. bored...............

Water Bottles

I think that water bottles should be free, and that no one should have to pay for them. If so many people are religous in this corrupted country I don't truly see why they charge for water, after all did God not put it on this Earth providing us with a sorce to keep on living to worship his sorry ______ I think that if us as humans did not charge for utilitys such as water, gas, electricity the world would be a better kinder place.

Highschool student

The hardest part about being a highschool student for me would be the drive to keep coming to school everyday. Only if there was some way that we could get by with all of our school work and curriculum by only coming to school at least three to four days of the week. Although I do not have perfect grades this year in school, I find that alot of the days are filled with nothing but aimless work which I see that does nothing for us.

Thing

Summer will be good.
I can not wait till summer comes so we can go to FUTURE FEST!!!!!!
Future Fest is suppose to be the biggest electronic show here in America.
The show itself is suppose to be amazing. You hear the word electronic music.
Atomatically you are annoyed just by the word and you refuse to listen to anything else about the topic. The funny part is, a person like you can not even begin to imagin the fact of 40+ Worldclass Super Star DJs all performing in a line up.

Death Sentence

I wold just want to die, move the execution date up as soon as possible.
No food, what the point in eating.
Or I can just keep ordering food over and over and over untill, I get so full I just keep eating and I kill myself by over eating that why I die by my own hands and not by the people who want me to die for their self pleasure and amusment.

Death Row

If I was going to be executed and I could have any last meal that I wanted, I would want to choose something insane. I would want to get something so disgusting that it would grow something desturbing when ever I die; I would want a plate of raw chopped onions. Catfsh, Salmon, Nachos, and a five pound blue steak. I would want to spread butter, mustard, and Foie Gras on crackers and then eat it plain like that no drinks what so ever. I would want a dry meal, with very little moisture except for the condements that I would be using. Fried chicken, mashpotatoes, green beans, corn, carrots, and celery. Puffer fish with a glass of water at the end would be nice. Then again why eat? What would honestly be the point? At the least they could let you take yourself out and not die by anothers hands.
